Ladies Hairdressing

• Judges want to see YOUR colouring technique
• Your work must showcase how colour placement can bring together a perfect look. Also, please ensure that the colour complements the model.
• No hairpieces and extensions or full wigs are allowed.
• A complete look must be presented

• This competiton will be held on 2 Days
  Day 0 ie. 6th April 2025 at designated venue (you will be informed)
  Day 1 ie. 7th April 2025 at Event venue (Nesco)
• The moodboard needs to be carried on both days. The stylist should be
  able to explain the concept of his work and the reason for working with
  a certain shape, colour, technique, texture and length.
• You are allowed to pre-lighten your hair before the competition begins
• All hair-colour work must be done by the stylist at a designated venue,1 day before this competition.
• The wardrobe, styling, and makeup must be consistent withyour theme.
• Please ensure cleanliness and hygiene while you work

Your work will be judged by a group of judges, first when you are on the competition floor working on your model (Day 0) and second when your model is ready in the finished look and you are off the competition floor (Day 1)

scoring parameters:

• Absence of Client Care or Hygiene will attract Negative marks (0-5) marks
• Absence of a moodboard will result in negative marking (-2)

• The model must be dressed to walk the red carpet and styled appropriately.
• In this category, the degree of difficulty in achieving the final style will be counted while judging
• Hair may be pre-coloured.
• The participant must ensure that make-up (pre-done) and accessories must complement the finished look and style.
• A complete look must be presented.

• A moodboard presentation is necessary. The stylist should be able to explain the concept of his work and the reason behind working with certain shape, colour, technique, texture and length.
• No construction can be done on the model’s hair before the competition, but it can be pre-prepped.
• Prepping by pre-tonging, straightening, crimping, head in rollers etc is allowed .Model must come onto the competition floor with open hair.
• All tools and styling aids allowed.
• Bobby pins etc. must not be visible in the final look.
• No wigs, Hairpieces, or extensions allowed.
• Padding & ornamentation (upto 20%) is allowed.

Your work will be judged by a group of judges continuously, from the beginning to the end of the competition (Comprehensive Judging).

• Work follows your moodboard- 5 marks
• Balance – 5 marks
• Finished Hair look – 5 marks
• Overall complete look – 5 marks

• Absence of Client Care or Hygiene will attract Negative marks (0-5) marks
• Absence of a moodboard will result in negative marking (-2)

• The moodboard is VERY important and must showcase your own creative inspiration.
• Expressive hair that pushes the boundaries of the norm. Must showcase bold and experimental concepts or techniques.
• Hairpieces, extensions and ornamentation is allowed. Overuse of props and accessories take focus away from the hair.
• Be sure to dress your model to reflect the look you have chosen.
• The attire must tie-in with the hairstyle and contestant’s creative theme.
• This competition will be judged on the complete look (head to toe)
• Hair ornaments must be made of 100% hair. The entire hair design can be made of 85% extensions
• All hairpieces and postiches can be pre-done and brought onsite. They are to be positioned and attached onto the models head in the Competition Arena during the allotted time frame.
• Any method of setting, gels, fixatives and coloring agents may be used to achieve the finished hairstyle.
• Body Art is allowed with ABSOLUTELY NO nudity.
• No live animals, reptiles, or fish are allowed as props.
• This is a Fantasy competition. Judging will include
  1. hair,
  2. headdress,
  3. clothing,
  4. make-up,
  5. nails, and
  6. accessories.
  7. Entries will be judged on the final appearance of the complete fantasy look

• A moodboard presentation is compulsory. The stylist should be able to explain the inspiration behind his work and the reason for working with a certain shape, colour, technique, texture and length.
• Only one assistant will be allowed along with contestant and model in the Competition Arena to assist in all things non hair related for e.g. wardrobe, clothes or general help.
• Hair can be prepped curled, tonged or straightened but must be kept open on the competition floor
• Significant change must occur to the model’s original hair.

Your work will be judged by a group of judges, first when you are on the competition floor working on your model and second when your model is ready in the finished look and you are off the competition floor
