CATEGORY: ADVANCED FACIAL TREATMENT (USING MACHINES)
A customised facial treatment using aesthetic devices based on skin analysis

Category tips
- Contestants must conduct a detailed client consultation and skin
analysis, identify skin condition, concerns, and contraindications,
and record all observations on the Consultation & Treatment Form
provided. - Based on the analysis, contestants must design a customized
advanced facial treatment plan. - As per the planned treatment, contestants must perform a
complete advanced facial treatment, including face, neck, and
décolleté. - The treatment must include the following mandatory steps
(the sequence may vary as per the contestant’s professional
judgment, but all steps are compulsory):- Cleansing
- Exfoliation
- Steaming
- Extraction (manual and/or with metal extractor)
- Machine-based treatment – minimum 1 machine, maximum 2
machines - Facial Massage – 20 minutes
- Mask application
- Machines to be selected from the approved list only (A final List
will be circulated again before 15 days of the competition)- Galvanic
- High Frequency
- Hydra Machine (Radio Frequency / LED / Peel)
- Ultrasonic
- Vacuum Suction
- Microcurrent
- Machine selection must be appropriate to the client’s skincondition and clearly justified in the treatment plan.
- Post the treatment in presence of the jury explain why did you
use a particular machine and the benefits for the same.
Floor rules
- Contestants must bring models between 25–40 years of age with
no contraindicated medical conditions. - Models will be interchanged, and contestants will work on an
unknown client. - Clients must be prepared for the treatment as per professional
salon standards (hair protection, draping, comfort check) - Contestants must complete all required steps within the allotted
time. - All products must be selected from the common product table
provided. - Contestants must not bring personal products for treatment
application. - Pre-treatment preparation and post-treatment care of the client
will be marked. - Hygiene and safety protocols must be strictly followed throughout the treatment.
- Workstations must be kept meticulously clean and organized at all times.
Note
Avoid models with:
- Botox or dermal fillers (electrical machines may have adverse effects)
- Recent use of AHA / BHA / Retinol products
- Medical conditions such as: like Epilepsy, Pacemaker, Claustrophobia, Uncontrolled hypertension, Metal Dental Fillings, Dental Braces etc

- Client consultation & treatment plan: 15 marks
- Cleansing: 05 marks
- Exfoliation: 5 marks
- Steam and Extraction: 10 marks
- Machine selection & application (safety, technique, suitability): 20 marks
- Facial massage – rhythm & timing: 10 marks
- Mask application: 05 marks
- Aftercare & home care advice
- Client communication- explain the client the benefit of the treatment done and the machine used.: 10 marks
- Treatment area preparation, hygiene & client care: 05 marks
total marks: 100

CATEGORY: SPA (MANUAL) FACIAL TREATMENT
- To be done: Face, Neck and Décoletté
- Total Time 90 minutes

Category tips
- Contestants must perform a luxury spa facial treatment focusing on relaxation, rhythm, pressure control, and therapeutic flow.
- The treatment must cover face, neck, and décolleté, maintaining professional spa etiquette throughout.
- Contestants must demonstrate spa facial massage skills using traditional and contemporary spa techniques.
- Contestants who are using tool must use the tool for a minimum of 8 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes.
- The treatment must include the following mandatory steps (sequence may vary as per the contestant’s professional judgment, but all steps are compulsory):
- Cleansing
- Exfoliation
- Spa Facial Massage – minimum 25 minutes, incorporating appropriate spa techniques
- Mask application
- Finishing products
- Spa Massage Techniques examples Swedish, Lomi Lomi facial, techniques, Lymphatic drainage, Deep relaxation and rhythmic spa strokes, Aroma therapy massage techniques, etc
- Spa tools can be incorporated in the massage, such as Gua sha, Jade/rose quartz roller, Kansa wand, Hot stones, Lava shells, Potli (herbal poultice), etc.
- Tools and techniques must be used safely, appropriately, and in harmony with the client’s comfort and skin condition.

- Models will be interchanged, and contestants will work on an unknown client.
- Clients must be prepared according to professional spa standards (draping, hair protection, comfort check)
- Contestants must complete all required steps within the allotted 90 minutes.
- Contestants must bring their own products, tools, and spa
equipment.- Avoid
- Chemical peels
- Strong exfoliants
- Brightening or corrective products with strong actives
- Optional enhancements such as: Aromatherapy, Eye or lip care, Hot/cold towels, Toner, serums, moisturizers may be included if time permits.
- Pre-preparation and post-treatment care of the client will be marked.
- Hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols must be followed at all times.
- Workstations must be kept clean, organized, and spa-appropriate throughout the competition.
Note
Models must NOT have::
- Botox or dermal fillers
- Recent use of AHA / BHA / Retinol products
- Medical conditions such as: like Epilepsy, Pacemaker, Claustrophobia, Uncontrolled hypertension, Active skin infections or open wounds, Metal dental fillings or dental braces (if heated tools are used) etc

- Spa facial massage – technique, rhythm & pressure: 25 marks
- Mask application: 05 marks
- Aftercare & home care advice: 10 marks
- Treatment area preparation
& hygiene: 10 marks - Client care, comfort & self-grooming: 10 marks
total marks: 70
Key Evaluation Focus:
- Mastery of spa massage techniques
- Safe and effective use of tools / technique (hot stones, lava shells, potli, etc.)
- Rhythm, flow, and pressure consistency
- Client relaxation and comfort
- Professional demeanor and spa etiquette
