The Live Show Lowdown

Creativity met craft and education met inspiration at the HBS 2025 Live Shows. Across two action-packed days at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, the 2 stages were transformed into a powerhouse of talent, showcasing the finest names in the beauty industry and setting a new benchmark for live professional showcases.

With 24+ shows featuring the best in hair, makeup, and styling, the Live Shows were more than just a creative platform—it was the heart of HBS 2025. From India’s top artists to international icons, each segment brought with it fresh techniques, creative insight, and trendsetting artistry that had professionals and students equally enthralled.

Day 1: Spotlight on Hair & Makeup Innovation

The energy kicked off with five stellar hair shows. Mr. Barber’s Rajesh Lakher and Shine Janardhan opened strong with precision cutting and contemporary styling. IKONIC Professionals Gourav Bharadwaj and Sumit Malkotia followed with dynamic toolwork and high-energy looks. Vega Professional’s Virender Verma delivered polished styles with a technical edge for Vega Professional , while the creative team for STREAX Professional Heena Dalvi, Shirin Merchant, and Vipul Chudasama impressed the audience with their techniques and textured finishes. KRONE PROFESSIONAL’s Sareena Acharya and Nikisha Bhatia added an editorial twist, before the legendary Ojas Rajani took centre stage with a dazzling bridal makeup showcase for the RAJANI Makeup and Hair Academy.

Similarly, on Day 1, the Young Guns Stage featured artists like Atharva Takke and Devyani Deshmukh from U Takke’s Hair and Beauty Studio who demonstrated a skilful haircut on their models. Next up was Pooja Panvanda from Nails Jewels, who brought fantasy nails to life with a mystical theme surrounding- The Tribal Oracle, The Egyptian Heiress and The Modern Witch Empress. Followed by that was the very talented Zingranwong Shatsang from Zido Salon, who displayed her bold, edgy and creative haircut skills to a captivated audience. The day ended with Shine Janardhan from Time Machine Salon taking to the Young Guns Stage to demonstrate some minimalist yet high-fashion hairstyles featuring the themes of old money, modernity and Gen-Z expressiveness.

But, that’s not all! Day 1 also featured the best of talents showcasing their skills on the Live Stage B. Artists featured on this stage during the first day included international talent Kseniia Tashpulatova from Elan Cosmetics, who demonstrated her intricate brow and lash techniques with precision.

Day 2: International Perspectives & Elevated Technique

The second day brought a mix of bold artistry and refined skill. Cherag Bambboat from Magical Makeovers opened with a glamour-meets-drama makeup show, setting a high bar. IKONIC’s dynamic duo returned for an encore, followed by the Wella Show featuring Aleisha KeswaniMayank Sharma, and Khushal Mali who showcased hairstyles rooted in finesse. Schwarzkopf Professionals’ Shiva Kumar and Ryan D’Rozario turned heads with some sharp cuts and directional styling, while Graham Hill’s Dharmesh Hingorani introduced structured, European grooming on the stage. Closing the show on Day 2 was the globally celebrated Allen Ruiz for Aveda, whose fluid, artistic performance left the audience hungry for more.

On the Young Guns Stage, Day 2 featured artists like Disha Pandya from Shills Professional who demonstrated her trend-forward nail techniques. The final artist to take to the Young Guns Stage on Day 2 was Kajal Rathod Jain from Mary Jo K who skillfully demonstrated her flawless bridal makeup skills.

Similar to Day 1, there was an impeccable line-up of international talent waiting to take to the stage on Day 2 as well! The Live Stage B on the second day featured phenomenal talent from artists like Alessandro Albanese from RICA who brought his precision and innovation to the stage with him by demonstrating some supremely stylish haircuts. Next up was Natalia Polushkina from Bluesky redefined nail artistry with her skilful demonstration.

The fabulous two-day line of performances at the Live Stage B was ended with LTA School of Beauty who stunned the crowd with their fashion show surrounding the themes of 7 Wonders of the World and a ground-breaking announcement of a new Diploma in Fashion, Styling and Makeup.

From advanced fades to high-fashion colour placement and transformative makeup, all the Live Shows delivered non-stop inspiration. Every presentation was a masterclass in its own, offering professionals the kind of learning that elevates careers.
